Wedding Makeup with Allie Glines | COVERGIRL

Hey guys and welcome back to COVERGIRL’S YouTube Channel I’m Allie Glines and I make makeup tutorials here on YouTube Today I’m so excited to be partnering with COVERGIRL to show you guys how to create a classic bridal look using my favorite COVERGIRL products I’m so excited about this because I feel like bridal looks are so fun to do And I’m going to be sharing with you my tips and tricks for how to create a really nice long-lasting makeup look that’s going to look good in photos, that’s going to last all day and ultimately make you feel so beautiful on your wedding day Here ‘s the before and after so you guys can see the bridal look that we’re going to be creating today Again I really want to just stick to classic colors This will be a look that will work on everybody I’m so excited so let’s just get right into it I’m going to start by just clipping my hair out of my face So I already washed my skin and I moisturized it I have nothing on my face and I’m gonna start with the brows The brows frame the face and on your wedding day you want to make sure you have your brows nice and defined I’m going to start by using this product right here This is the Easy Breezy Brow Sculpt + Brow Pomade I’m going to be using the shade Honey Brown It actually comes with a brush so I’m just gonna go ahead and flip it over and then click into the cap like that I’m gonna go ahead and dip it into the product wipe off the excess and then I’m just gonna start to create hairlike strokes on the end of the brow For my brows I like to focus on the outer portion because that’s where I need the most definition I’m just trying to get the basic shape of the brow with this product And once I feel like the majority of the brows are filled in I’m gonna move to one of my all-time favorite products from COVERGIRL this is their Easy Breezy Brow Micro-Fine Fill + Define Eyebrow Pencil This is also in the shade Honey Brown I love how this gives such a natural look to the brow And with every step in today’s tutorial, that’s the ultimate goal – just create something that looks like you but better I’m going to use this pencil to create hairlike strokes in the center of the brow And I’m also going to use it to fill in the more sparse areas which again is toward the end of the brow for me And the nice thing about this pencil too is that there’s a spoolie on the other side which really helps to achieve that more natural brow look So I’m just gonna go ahead and brush through everything And this will diffuse some of the product and it will just help it all blend into the eyebrow hairs and look super natural I love how fine the tip of this pencil is because it really allows me to define the brows and it’s so fine you don’t even have to sharpen it which is awesome Next I’m going to go into the COVERGIRL Clean Matte Concealer This is the shade Light and I’m actually going to take a little bit and put it on the back of my hand And I’m going to pick that up on a concealer brush And I’m going to use this concealer to sculpt out the brows even further Since you’re going to be photographed on your wedding day it’s really important to take the extra steps to define your features a little bit more than you would normally so that on camera everything picks up really well And I like to add concealer to the top and bottom of the brows So I know that’s kind of like a lot of steps for the brows but I truly feel like it’s worth it It sets the tone for the rest of the makeup, and for me personally it gives me confidence to know where the eyeshadow should go so I personally feel like it’s definitely worth the extra time for your brows to look really good If you have naturally full brows you definitely don’t have to do all those steps, you can just fill in the sparse areas with a pencil and you’d be good to go Alright let’s move on to the eyeshadow I’m first going to prime the eyes using the COVERGIRL Lid Lock Up Eyeshadow Primer This is going to ensure that our eyeshadow lasts all day which is really important So I’m just going to take it straight out of the tube and apply it to the eyelid And I’m just going to go ahead and blend this out with a fluffy brush And this comes in one universal shade so it’s going to look good on all skin tones I’m actually going to go back into the COVERGIRL Clean Matte Concealer And I’m going to layer just a tiny bit of this on to the eyes And I’m just going to go ahead and blend that out with the same brush And this just helps to cancel out any discoloration on the eyelids It also helps the entire look come together really nicely in the end Next I’m going to go into this Clean Loose Professional Powder This is in the shade Translucent Fair And I’m just going to take a light layer of this powder and sweep it across the lids just to prep it for the eyeshadows Adding a light powder layer helps the eyeshadows blend really seamlessly So I always like to do this step So, for a bridal look I really wanted to stick to colors that are classic and neutral And just flattering overall I’m going to go into the COVERGIRL TruNaked Roses Eyeshadow Palette I’m going to start by taking this color right here And just on a fluffy brush I’m going to start to buff that into the crease And once the brush has a little less product on it, I like to bring it up a little bit higher as our transition shade I like to buff it toward the end of the brow and also a little towards the center of the brow And I’m going to continue to work in light layers making sure to take my time blending and buffing it out I love the formula of these eyeshadows, I feel like they always blend out really, really nicely And I love how buildable they are because then it’s not as scary Because if you’re doing your own makeup on your wedding day it can get a little bit nerve-racking so I love how these are buildable so that you can work yourself up to the intensity that you want Instead of accidentally going overboard and having to remove it right after And I’m also not going to worry too much about shadow that gets in this area here because we’re going to clean that up with a makeup wipe in a minute Next I’m going to go into this shade right here This is slightly deeper than the first shade we used I’m actually going to take the same exact brush and I’m going to focus this color more in the crease to define the eye there I’m just using windshield wiper motions and again we’re just going to build up the intensity as we go So now I’m wanting to add some brown shadows to the look So I’m going to hop into the COVERGIRL TruNaked Nudes Palette And I’m going to take this shade right here I’m going to start to add this on to the outer third of the eye And then bring it up into the crease a little bit, just mixing it with the existing shadows Next I’m going to go into this shade right here And I’m going to start to layer that exactly where we just applied the other brown shadow just to start to create a little more depth on the outer corner And then I’m taking what’s left on the brush and I’m lightly running it through the crease Just to add that same color to the crease to define it Next I’m going to take this shade right here I’m going to take that on my finger and start to apply that on the lid It’s a really soft pinky champagne shimmer shade which I think will be so beautiful in photographs So I’m just gonna map out the general shape using my finger So I really want to intensify the shimmer So I’m just going to take that same shadow on an eyeshadow brush And once I have the product on an eyeshadow brush I’m actually going to take the COVERGIRL Outlast Active Continuous Setting Mist And I’m just going to wet the brush lightly with that And I’m going to apply that right on the lid And you’ll see how that helps the shimmer look more metallic and more intense And I’m going to continue to layer that up until I get the intensity that I want So next we’re going to define the lash line I’m going to go into the COVERGIRL Get In Line Liquid Eyeliner This one is in the shade Black Crystal I’m going to give it a good shake And this liner has a really nice fine tip so you get really precise lines which is always good I’m going to go ahead and line the top lash line with this And I’m not going to create a wing or anything I’m just going to line really closely to the lashes Next I’m going to dip into the deepest shade in this TruNaked Nudes Palette I’m just going to take that on an angle brush I just want to soften this eyeliner So I’m going to go ahead and layer the eyeshadow right on top And that way we keep the definition But we make it look a little bit more feminine by softening it with a dark eyeshadow Alright so now I’m going to take a makeup wipe and clean up any fallout that we have underneath the eyes And I’m also going to use this makeup wipe to clean up the edges on the outer portion of the eye So that we create a really nice clean shape So we’re going to pause on the eyes for now and move into complexion I feel like the key for a really nice long-wearing complexion, especially on your wedding day, is prepping the skin correctly And that’s where these primers are going to come in handy I’m going to be using 2 different primers These are the COVERGIRL TruBlend Base Business Primers and I’m gonna be using the Skin Smoothing Primer and also the Illuminating Primer I’m going to start with the Illuminating Primer This is going to create that gorgeous, lit from within skin look So I’m gonna go ahead and take a little bit on my fingers and I’m going to blend this out focusing on the outer portions of the face And as you can see it’s already giving a really nice glow to the skin which I love And then to help make my skin look airbrushed, I’m going to use the Skin Smoothing Primer just in the T zone Cause that is where I have the largest pores So I’m going to go ahead and smooth that out this area here And also in the center of the forehead Now we’re going to go into one of my favorite foundations which is the COVERGIRL Matte Made Foundation This comes in 40 shades It’s super long wearing which is going to be really key on your wedding day It has a matte finish with an oil-free formula This is such a good foundation I wear the shade L90 And I’m going to start by pumping a little onto the back of my hand And then I’m going to apply a little bit at a time onto the face And I’m going to start to blend that out using my foundation brush I like to work in layers with foundation to ensure that I’m only using the amount that I need Obviously I want a little bit more coverage to look flawless in photos on my wedding day But I also want to look really flawless and fresh in person because you’re going to have friends and family around you You want to make sure that you also look really good in person I’m just going to continue to buff that all over the skin This foundation also feels really lightweight on the skin which is amazing It has great buildable coverage so it covers up redness and blemishes I’m going to stop there and I’m going to take my sponge and just take what’s left on the back of my hand And I’m going to start to press this into the skin Using a sponge helps the foundation look more skin-like And it just helps melt the product into the skin And it makes your skin look so flawless I seriously love how this foundation looks So next we’re going to go back into the COVERGIRL Clean Matte Concealer And we’re going to use this to conceal dark circles I’m just going to go ahead and apply some underneath the eye area And I’m just going to go ahead and blend that out with the same sponge we were just using This concealer is extremely lightweight It has light-reflecting particles in it So it’s going to give you a little bit of a glow It’s also available in 6 shades so just choose a shade that’s 1-2 shades lighter than your foundation And that’s what you want to use underneath the eyes to really brighten them up If you have blemishes to conceal choose a concealer that’s going to match your skin tone And just add a little bit of extra coverage where you need it And then go ahead and just blend that out with a sponge making sure to press it into the skin so that you cover up the blemishes without removing any of the coverage Now we’re going to set the face using the COVERGIRL Clean Professional Powder And again, this is in the shade Translucent Fair But this does come in 5 shades so you can get one that works with your skin tone And I’m just going to set the under eye concealer first using a smaller brush This powder is super finely milled so it’s almost undetectable up close and also gives a really nice, smooth finish to the skin I’m going to take a larger brush and just use that same exact powder to set the rest of the face Okay, I’m absolutely loving how flawless the complexion is looking Let’s jump back into the eyes I’m going to dip back into the COVERGIRL TruNaked Roses Palette And we’re going to go right back to that light purple shade that we used on the top lid I’m just gonna take this on a smaller brush I’m actually going to dip the brush and run it along the lower lash line to define that area a little bit I don’t want to do too much to the lower lash line Just enough to define it But I wanna keep most of the shadows on the top lid to really open up the eyes Next I’m going to go into this shimmery shade right here And this is just in the same TruNaked Roses Palette I’m going to go ahead and apply that to the lower lash line I’m kind of on the inner corner to about halfway underneath the lashes And that will just brighten up the eyes a little bit and it will help create a little bit of dimension there as well I’m just taking a little bit of this darker purple shade And adding a tiny bit of that towards the outer corner of the outer lash line and connecting it to the existing shades on this outer corner just to make everything look nice and cohesive Now we’re going to apply mascara So before we apply mascara I want to use a lash primer This is going to help prime and condition the lashes It’s going to make your mascara look better This is the COVERGIRL Lash Blast Amplifying Primer So I’m going to go ahead and apply a coat of this to the top and bottom lashes I’m really taking my time to make sure that I get all the lashes nice and coated Just to make sure we get maximum results So next I’m going to be using one of my favorite mascaras right now This is the COVERGIRL Exhibitionist Mascara On your wedding day you do want to make sure that you’re using the waterproof version COVERGIRL does make the waterproof version of this mascara So definitely pick this up for your wedding day just in case you cry, just in case it’s hot outside You really want to make sure that your mascara isn’t going anywhere But for today’s video I’m just going to use the original formula This is in the shade Very Black And again, I’m really going to take my time when applying mascara making sure to coat the lashes from root to tip When you combine this mascara with that primer, it seriously looks like you have false lashes on This stuff is seriously amazing! I love it. I absolutely love how the lashes look Let’s warm up the complexion I’m going to use the bronzer from COVERGIRL TruBlend Serving Sculpt Contour Palette This palette is specifically designed for fair to light skin tones I’m just going to go ahead and take a fluffy brush and dip right into the bronzer I’m going to tap off the extra and I’m going to start to warm up the complexion using this bronzer I like to use bronzer to kind of sculpt out the cheekbones as well as warm up the complexion And I also like to apply it around the hairline That just helps everything look much more natural like you have a natural tan I’m going to take what’s left and kind of dust it across the nose Then you also want to make sure that you’re blending your bronzer down the neck so that everything matches And depending on the neckline of your dress you also want to add a little bit of bronzer to the chest to just make sure that everything looks nice and cohesive If your hair’s up make sure to also add a little bit towards the back of the neck That just helps everything look really seamless I’m just going to take the fluffy brush that we used with the COVERGIRL Translucent Powder And I’m going to go ahead and buff over all that bronzer all over the face This just helps soften any harsh lines It helps everything blend together really nicely For highlighter I’m going to go into the COVERGIRL TruBlend Super Stunner Palette This palette is also designed for fair to light skin tones They have another shade that would work well for medium to deep skin tones I’m going to go ahead and dip it into the lightest shade right here And then also the middle shade I’m just going to mix the two I actually like to apply highlighter before my blush I don’t know, I just feel it helps everything blend better I’m going to go ahead and apply this highlighter to the high points of the face This highlighter is perfect for creating that gorgeous natural skin light glow Obviously you can build it up to a very beaming highlight But it’s not sparkly which I really love And I like to apply it in a C-shape around the brow right here And I do like to apply a little bit on the cheeks so that when I smile you have a little bit of a glow on the cheeks as well I think that’s a really nice touch I also apply it on the center of the nose and on the cupid’s bow I personally avoid the chin I know some people highlight the chin In photographs I want to avoid looking greasy So I try to avoid the center of the forehead, the tip of the nose, and also the chin That’s just my personal preference If you like to apply highlighter there and it’s your wedding day, you do you, so seriously do whatever makes you feel the most beautiful But that’s just my personal preference Next we’re going to go into blush This is the COVERGIRL Cheekers Blush This is one is in the shade 107 Flushed And I’m going to take this on a fluffy blush brush I’m going to tap off the extra and then I’m going to just smile I’m going to start to apply this to the apples of the cheeks And I’m going to blend it backwards, kind of towards the top of the ear I just feel that when I apply blush in that shape it just makes my whole complexion look a little bit more romantic So I’m just going to keep layering this on And see how since we applied the highlighter first, everything looks super seamless I love that trick So I’m going to continue to build this up on the cheeks and blush is actually the first thing that kind of fades away so when you’re getting ready on your wedding day don’t be afraid to add a little bit more blush than usual or do what I am going to do here and layer a couple of brushes One that is a little bit more neutral that blends into your skin tone and then also one that’s a little bit brighter That’s going to add that punch to the cheeks So this one is in the shade 108 Pink Candy And I’m going to use a lighter hand with this one because it is brighter I’m going to smile again and just apply that to the more full parts of the cheeks So, right here and I just feel like that creates a really nice, natural-looking flush I like to take what’s left on the brush and kind of dust it across the nose a little bit And another little trick that I love to do is I’ll take some blush – I’m going to go back to that first blush we were using And I just go ahead an put a little bit on an eyeshadow brush And I’ll just dust that right here And I just feel that helps everything blend together really nicely So I wanted to share that with you as well Alright, I’m going to remove any foundation that got on the lips And before I forget, I’m going to highlight the inner corner of the eye Using that same exact TruBlend Super Stunner Palette I’m going to mix those same 2 shades that we used on the cheeks And with a smaller brush I’m just going to go ahead an apply this to the inner corner of the eye This is a step that I feel is so crucial in making your eye makeup look more complete I absolutely love it And then also in photographs it’s going to help your eyes look more open and awake I also like to take what’s left on the brush and just dust it right underneath the brows to help lift that area So before we set the face with setting spray, I always like to step back and look at my face in a larger mirror And just make sure that everything looks nice and balanced On your wedding day it’s also going to be helpful to get ready in similar lighting as where you’re getting married If you have an outdoor venue, make sure that you have natural light when you’re getting ready Just make sure everything matches and looks really nice and is blended really well And then step back with a larger mirror in front of the window And just make sure that everything is where you want it If you need to add a little more blush, add more blush Add more bronzer, add more highlighter – whatever it is that you need to do, do that before you lock it down with setting spray So, I’m going to step back I always like to add a little bit more bronzer I don’t know – I just feel that once I step back and look at the entire makeup look, I always add a little more bronzer to the forehead usually Just to add even more glow to that area Alright, I really like the makeup So I’m gonna go ahead and set the entire face using the COVERGIRL Outlast Active Cooling Setting Mist This is smudge-proof, humidity-proof, and transfer-proof So that’s going to be perfect for making your makeup look amazing for hours It also has a really nice microfine mist So I’m just going to go ahead and spray the entire face And I’m generous with setting sprays Cause I feel like it gets rid of any of the powder that’s left on the skin And it just helps everything look really natural in the end So I’m just going to let that dry And as it dries, I actually like to take whatever sponge I was using and just lightly press down on the skin super lightly You don’t want to take off any of your hard work But I feel like doing this step really helps the setting spray sink into the makeup And again, it gets rid of any powdery finish and helps your skin look even more like skin Alright now let’s move into lips which is my favorite part of a makeup look I’m so excited to tell you guys about these lipsticks from COVERGIRL These are new They’re the Outlast All-Day Custom Nude Lipstick These are amazing because no matter what skin tone you are, COVERGIRL created the perfect nude for you All you have to do is figure out your skin’s tone and undertone And then you’ll be able to find your perfect nude lipstick They also created one universal nude shade that’s going to look good on everybody So for me personally, my skin tone is light Here are the 2 perfect nudes for my skin tone We have Light Warm and Light Cool I actually have a neutral undertone which means I have a little bit of cool tones in my skin and also a little bit of warm tones So in order to create that perfect nude for a bridal look for my skin, I’m actually going to mix the 2 shades You do not have to do this, it’s a little bit extra But, why not be extra on your wedding day? This is an amazing formula, it’s going to last all day It’s smudge-proof, it’s kiss-proof, it’s transfer-resistant Which is going to be amazing for all those kissing pictures you’re going to be doing on your wedding day So I’m actually going to take both shades And I’m going to put a little bit on the back of my hand starting of with the Light Cool shade And then I’m going to put a little bit of the Light Warm right next to it I’m just going to mix the 2 together with my finger And I’m going to apply it to the lips I love the color that this creates when they’re mixed Now the key to making sure that this lasts all day is to let it dry I’m going to add a little bit more of the warm shade Just the center of the lips And I’m gonna try to let that dry and sit on the lips for 30-60 seconds And then once the lipstick has dried down, the cool thing about these is that it comes with a lip balm So this is going to add comfort and shine and you can reapply this throughout the day as many times as you need to I love how it adds a little bit of a glossy finish But it’s not going to feel sticky or be sticky like a gloss And it’s also great that you can reapply it throughout the day without even having to worry about the color underneath transferring or budging So definitely make sure you bring this with you to touch up and rehydrate throughout the day I love how this looks! So pretty! So I just took my hair down and I wanna show you guys exactly how kiss-proof this lipstick is (Kisses hand) Nothing! Nothing on the hands! I think that’s absolutely amazing – I seriously wish I had this on my wedding day I would have worn it. It is so incredible. But yeah, that completes this bridal makeup tutorial I hope you guys loved this look as much as I do I think it’s so classic, it’s going to photograph well, it’s going to last for hours And I love how wearable it is but it still defines the face enough to where it looks more special and more glam – perfect for your wedding day Don’t forget that your wedding day is your day so be sure to wear makeup that makes you feel so beautiful If you want to wear a glitter cut crease on the eye or a bold lip on your wedding day, go for it This is just supposed to give you a little bit of inspiration So I hope you guys found it helpful If you’re interested in any of the products that I talked about today, those will be linked in the description down below Thanks again for watching I hope you all have an amazing day Good luck on your wedding day and congratulations! And I will see you all next time Bye!
