Throwing a Thanksgiving Party : How to Plan a Thanksgiving Dinner Timetable

So it’s Thanksgiving time and you’re hosting
Thanksgiving at your home and you might be wondering how am I going to get this all done.
Well my name is Lori Randall with Simply Divine Events and I’m going to tell you how to create
a Thanksgiving timetable. First thing that you’re going to want to do is plan ahead is
very important. You’re going to want to go shopping before the Thanksgiving rush, make
sure you’re not waiting until the last minute to go out and purchase all the foods that
you might need. Things that aren’t going to be perishable where you need to buy more of
the week of Thanksgiving. Make sure you order your turkey well in advance if you need to
get a large turkey. And then you want to plan to the night before you want to try and get
most most of the cooking done so you’re not rushing the day of to get everything handled
and taken care of. What you’re going to want to do is make sure your turkey is thawed out
the night before. Start cooking some things so all you need to do is reheat it up in the
oven the next day. Also want to make sure that you talk with some of the guests that
are coming and make sure that you’re providing everything that they might need if they have
any specialty or allergies or maybe they are a vegetarian, make sure that you have enough
food for them to eat as well. You can do your Thanksgiving either in the early afternoon
or in the evening. Some people will have Thanksgiving as early as noon and it can be more like a
lunch. You could do that and then everyone can kind of sit around and watch their football
and play their board games and then come back and eat some leftovers later in the evening.
Or if you want everyone just to come over in the evening, you can do that as well and
just you’d have a little bit longer during the day to prepare and start making some things
early in the morning. But the key is make sure that you have a list of everything you
need to buy, you are just organized and prepared and ready to go so you’re not scrambling the
day of when everyone’s there and you’re able to enjoy yourself and host. So again, my name
is Lori Randall with Simply Divine Events and those are some ideas on how to create
a Thanksgiving time table.
