How to Plan a Garden-Themed Wedding : Garden-Themed Wedding Traditions

Hi I’m Jessica Meiczinger with Simply Divine
Events and I have been a wedding planner for over 10 years now and I just want to talk
about some ideas on how to include ceremony tradition in your garden themed wedding. One
thing that comes to mind is the unity candle but chances are if you are having a garden
themed wedding you are getting married outside in a garden. So some ideas to keep in mind
and tips are to make sure that when you do have your unity candle, make sure all your
candles are at least about an inch to two inches below the rim of the glass so that
the flames don’t blow out. Also keep a lighter handy behind the union candles just in case
a gust of wind comes by and blows out the flame. Another thing to do instead of doing
the unity candle you can also have the sand ceremony or the salt ceremony. So those don’t
you know, obviously don’t require a flame so it makes it easier and it won’t blow away
or blow out for that matter. Another idea is to do the rose ceremony where the bride
and groom present a rose to the in-laws which brings, or usually is a surprise to the bride’s
parents or to the groom’s parents and it is just a nice symbol to unite both families.
And so those are just some ideas on how to incorporate ceremony traditions into your
garden themed wedding.
