How to Pick Wedding Decorations | Perfect Wedding

My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for
a living. I’m Ruthie Hecht; I’m an event planner and
I work with and for my mother. We’re going to teach you the do’s and don’ts
for the perfect wedding. There are some great unusual ideas you can
do for wedding decorations. Instead of flowers, consider using herb plants
in cool pots. This way your guests can also take them home
at the end of the evening. Definitely look around at your local hardware
store. If you’re an artist you can you use old paint
cans instead of vases. Don’t be afraid to take a pottery class and
make that the wedding decor, but if it doesn’t come out good just throw it in the trash. Stay away from putting lots of little things
on the table. It just clutters everything up and does not
help the look of your wedding. If you’re a baseball freak, put wheat grass
in the shape of a baseball diamond. Everyone will go nuts. It’s appropriate to a wedding but looks just
like you. Unless you’re going for a full on theme wedding,
try to keep your personal touches to a few little spots. The escort card table is a great way to incorporate
your personal touch and so is the cake. Don’t think it just has to be about flowers. It can be as much about decor as anything
else. Definitely think outside the box. One of my favorite places to get wedding decor
is CB2. They have great glass balls that you can put
photo candles into as Christmas ornaments. Hang them everywhere from the ceiling. Shoot a few lights at it and the whole thing
will glow. You’ll feel like you’re in Wonderland. So those are some ideas on wedding decor.
