How to Pick a Videographer | Perfect Wedding

My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for
a living. I’m Ruthie Hecht; I’m an event planner and
I work with and for my mother. We’re going to teach you the do’s and don’ts
for the perfect wedding. Videography is a wonderful invention and it’s
a fabulous thing to have after your wedding is over, because you have an opportunity to
see things that went on during your event that you missed, and also sometimes the memory
dims a little bit because you’re so in the moment and therefore you have a permanent
record of it and you can go back and see exactly the way your wedding day went. It’s extremely important to choose the videographer
that you like, it’s extremely important to discuss how obtrusive or unobtrusive you want
him to be, it’s extremely important to understand the lighting the videographer must use, or
may be able not to use, all of these should be discussed with the videographer before
you decide if you want to have him there. The videographer should start with the photographer
and end with the photographer, so it’s also important that the videographer and the photographer
get along, one should not pick people who are at odds, it’s much better to have people
working at a wedding who like each other, who can communicate well, and who do not step
on each others’ toes, so that you get the best possible photographs, and the best possible
