Thank you very much. – Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh, that was beautiful. – Thank you. Thank you so much. – Oh my. Here, turn around here. Turn
around here so we get you in that beautiful light with your hair. I love your hair.
– Thank you. – Okay, this is Karen Gibson, y’all. The conductor of Kingdom Choir. That was amazing. How long have you been a choir? How long have you been doing this? – We’ve actually been
together for 25 years. Since 1994. – [Kelly] Wow. It was beautiful, guys. (audience applauds) That was really beautiful. Do you have a question? – I have a question. How was the Royal Wedding? What was that like? Did they loosen up at all? – (laughs) They did, actually. They loved the song “Stand By Me.” It was a magical day. Actually almost heavenly. The sun was shining,
Meghan looked stunning. Lots of anticipation–
– Well, she’s not ugly. (audience laughs) She’s kinda super hot.
– She’s amazing. Yeah, she is. So, it was a beautiful day. The actual run up to the wedding was quite challenging because we had to do lots of versions of the song. – Why lots of versions? Did they want a specific kind of vibe? – Yes. They wanted less beat, and I didn’t understand what that meant. – I don’t understand what that
means, what does that mean? – They wanted it stripped
down and paired right back, and it took us 12 goes to get it right. – [Kelly] Wow. – Yeah. So we sent in all these versions and it’s like, “no, no, no, no” until the 12th, in fact, the 11th version. But the 12th version, they actually didn’t get to hear ’cause we ran out of time. – [Kelly] Oh, wow. – So when they heard
it for the first time, the world heard it for the first time. – Well, that was the magical time. – Yeah, that was the magical time. – That’s what it should’ve been, then. – Yeah, yeah. I think so. – Things happen for a reason. Well, all the hard work is paying off. Y’all are fantastic. That was beautiful. – Yeah, that was beautiful. – Oh, my gosh So, tell us about your tour. The Stand By Me Tour, right? – Yeah. We’re doing the
Stand By Me Tour now, as a result of that amazing day, and we are touring the length
and breadth of America. We’re doing 31 towns in six weeks. It’s our first American US–
– That’s a big tour, yeah. – Yeah, it really is. And we’re going to Canada, as well. So, it’s been an amazing experience. So fun.
– Oh, my God. Well, welcome over here. I cannot wait. I wanna see y’all on tour. Your show must be incredible. That was so tastefully done. It was so classy, it was so beautiful. (audience applauds) I grew up on gospel, so well done. Good gosh.
– Thank you.
