Canva Design Tutorial: Multi-Page Perfection

Hello and welcome to our tutorial on
multi-page designs. Consistency is absolutely key when
you’re creating multi-page designs. Having the same fonts, the same
backgrounds, the same header throughout your document will give it a
professional look. As always, if you want to give this tutorial a go yourself, make sure you jump on to a desktop computer and go to canva.com I hope you enjoy this tutorial. For a professional look in your multi-page design, it’s great to use the same banner
throughout your design and you can simply change the texts so let me demonstrate. I’m going to come
over here to the search bar and type in banner. I find a banner that I like, I drag it on to my page then I resize it. I’m now going to change the text to “hello world”. So that’s it. That’s how you add a banner to your design. Use the same banner throughout your design for a professional look. When you create your multi-page design, it’s a great idea to use the same frame or grid throughout your design as it looks a lot more professional. So
what we’re going to do in this challenge is set your frame by coming over here to the search bar, typing in frame and finding one that we like. I’m then going to drag it directly into my
design. I’ll resize the frame and put it into position on this first page. I’ll then use the copy icon to make a
second copy and again move that in to position. So now just for fun, I’m going to do a search and fill up these frames with some images. So the next time you create a
multi-page design, try using the same frame or grid throughout it. Using the same backgrounds throughout your
design gives your design a professional edge. In this exercise, all we going to do it add a background to the page. I’m going to come over here to the backgrounds tab, I can add solid colors for my background or alternatively I can choose of of these patterns. And then I can change the color using the add icon. So, this is a great trick to get a
consistent look throughout your multi-page design. So, all we have to do is come over here to the copy icon and click it. You can then see you have the page twice in
your design. This is a great way to create a template
and to keep your header and footer and fonts consistent throughout your
document. For this last challenge, we’re going to
create a template and then duplicate that template. So we’re going to add a banner and a
background and then add a grid to our page and then resize it. So let me demonstrate. So firstly, I scroll down to this next page I search for a banner I found one that I like and then I drag it on to my page. I go to the backgrounds tab, choose a background that like. I can change
the color of the background by coming up here
and clicking the add icon and then choosing a color that I like. I’m then going to come up here to the search bar and type in grid and choose the grid that I like. I’m going to resize it and then move it into position. I’m then going to click the copy icon
and copy my page so I now I have two of the same pages. So just for fun I will update this page
with some content. So, I’m going to change the first banner to the word chocolate. Search for some images of chocolate and then drag them into my grid. I’m going to change the text in my second
banner to the word fruit. Search for some images of fruit and drag them into the grids. And so that’s it! That’s how you create a template in Canva which is a great way to create structure
for a multi-page design. So that was our five challenges for
multi-page design. Do jump on a computer and have it a go
yourself and also as always please share your designs with us on Facebook and Twitter. And as always we would love to see what you’ve designed so please share with us on Facebook and Twitter. Have fun!
