12-12-12 well that’s today and it’s a big day, the last of its kind for a very long
time. People all over the world decided to make it count. Corey Davis Shows us a couple
that will never forget December 12, 2012 in Charleston. It’s 12-12-12, not to be mistaken with 12-21-12
that’s prophesized date for the end of the world according to the Mayan calendar. But
today is special in its own right. It is the last triple number sequence of the century
and love birds all across the world took full advantage of it. “I feel great! I’m excited! We’ve waited
a long time for this day so I’m glad it’s here and glad we selected such a good date!”
Julie Munifo Lago said. This Charlotte couple decided to elope to
Charleston and finally tie the knot after 10 years of engagement. They got married at
4 o’clock at The Charleston Place. “I just came up with this about 6 weeks
ago. It’s small, we don’t have a lot of people coming. It’s just us two – nobody
knows back home. We haven’t told our family.” Keith Lago and Julie Lago said. The couple wanted to do something small on
a big day. “I have no reservations, we have been together
for 12 years, engaged for 10. So it is not that kind of nervous feeling anymore.” Triple number dates are popular worldwide.
David’s Bridal estimates more than 7500 couples will tie the knot on 12-12-12. This
isn’t anything new to Penny Reynolds of Reynolds Treasures. “Last year, for 11-11-11, I ended up with
4 weddings, so the common dates are very common.” Penny Reynolds said. People all over enjoyed it while they could
because it won’t happen again in our lifetime. Corey Davis, Live 5 News
